PASHA v. WILLIAM M. MERCER INVESTMENT CONSULTING

United States District Court, Southern District of New York

April 10, 2003

IQBAL A. PASHA, PLAINTIFF
v.
WILLIAM M. MERCER INVESTMENT CONSULTING, INC., DEFENDANT.

The opinion of the court was delivered by: Robert W. Sweet, United States District Judge

MEMORANDUM OPINION

Plaintiff pro se Iqbal A. Pasha ("Pasha") has moved by letter of March 28, 2003, treated by the Court as a motion, for an extension of discovery deadlines to April 30, 2003. Defendant William M. Mercer Investment Consulting, Inc. ("WMMICI") has opposed the extension.

Given Pasha's pro se status, the motion is granted and the period for discovery extended to April 30, 2003.

The letter of March 28 also refers to an alleged failure of WMMICI to meet Pasha's discovery demands with respect to consultants hired and discrimination complaints received by WMMICI. He has noted also his prior letter requesting the addition of three corporations as defendants. The latter request was the subject of a memorandum opinion of April 8, 2003.

WMMICI in its opposition has stated that it has complied with respect to the identification of consultants. If there is an issue as to the production of discrimination complaints, it has not been presented, either procedurally or substantively, no relief having been requested.

The motion is granted to the extent requested, that is, to extend the period of discovery to April 30, 2003.

It is so ordered.
