LIGHTWATER CORPORATION LIMITED v. REPUBLIC OF ARGENTINA

United States District Court, Southern District of New York

May 30, 2003

LIGHTWATER CORPORATION LIMITED, PLAINTIFF,
v.
THE REPUBLIC OF ARGENTINA, DEFENDANT. OLD CASTLE HOLDINGS, LTD., PLAINTIFF, V. THE REPUBLIC OF ARGENTINA, DEFENDANT. MACROTECNIC INTERNATIONAL CORPORATION, PLAINTIFF, V. THE REPUBLIC OF ARGENTINA, DEFENDANT.

The opinion of the court was delivered by: Thomas P. Griesa, Senior District Judge.

ORDER

The Republic has written the court requesting a 90-day extension of the current stay of execution.

The Republic's request is granted. The extension will run until August 31, 2003. Among the reasons for the extension is the fact that a new president has just taken office and there should be a reasonable period to learn what economic policies will emerge from the new administration.

SO ORDERED.
