A stay of execution of judgment is now in effect in these cases as well as in a related case against the Province of Buenos Aires. The stay expires August 31, 2003.
The court is extending the stay to midnight September 16, 2003. The purpose is to allow additional submissions and oral argument. The submissions should include, among other things, (1) comments on the statements of President Kirschner, quoted in the New York Times of May 25, 2003, and (2) further discussion of the significance of the upcoming IMF and World Bank meeting in Dubai, scheduled for late September.
The court will not, in this order, attempt to schedule the submission of additional papers. The court will simply say that all additional submissions should be filed with the court no later than September 10, 2003. Oral argument will be held at a time to be set. [ Page 3]
